There's a club called, "Wild At Heart" either on, or right off of, Hauptstrasse near the center of town. It's a pretty crazy place. To the right of the front door is a sign for a dentist named Dr. Quack (how I love that.) To the right of the sign is a cafe' with tables outside and killer pasta with chicken and scallops inside. They also had a Weitzenbier that was absolutely the best beer of that whole tour for me.

Down the street to the left, on the corner is a little store with a green (I believe) awning proclaiming its name: "Butt Markt" . Great for pictures if any of your party has an adolescent sense of humor like mine. Of course the bass player HAD to go in and proclaim "I want to trade mine in for a new one. This one has a crack in it." Rolling Eyes People looked at him like he owed them money. Dumbass. Anyway...

Stay away from the ghetto where mostly turks live. Nothing wrong with turks per se, of course, but that particular part of Berlin is the 'hood. Not the safest place in Germany for tourists, especially Amerikaners.
Don't know 'bout the british.
If you like raw, ground up pork, get some Mettbreutschen. German surstromming, it is.

This is all provided that not much has changed since '05, mind you.

Have a buncha fun!

jesus I'd love to go on tour with you, Ivan, it'd crack me up. You don't need a middle-aged roadie with a sense of humour do you?
