Your first exposure to XTC
Dancing to "Meccanik Dancing" at the school disco!
Your First XTC purchases.
Go 2 - what a cover!
Your Favourite Band member
Terry Chambers... because it was partly through him that I got into playing drums
Tell us about where you live
Bedfont, West London - 3 miles south of Heathrow Airport. Good railway link into Waterloo (25 mins). Good Primary schools, not far from work.
It's not a bad place, not far for the city centre, not far to the countryside, what with 4 motorways in close proximity.
What Do you do?
IT technical support... desktops, laptops, servers, IBM midrange systems, PDAs... installing & maintaining them for a worldwide company. I work in a small team covering the UK, Europe, Nordics & Baltics. Outside of that... family life & playing drums whenever I can.
The first single you bought and the one you always say if the first!
Out of my own money - Boomtown Rats - Rat Trap (my Mum hated it!).
The first Album you bought and the one you always say if the first!
The Police - Outlandos D'Amour, purchased with Go 2, mainly through a friend, in an Our Price record shop in Hounslow High Street (also where my first single was bought) - but I never looked back! _________________

Your first exposure to XTC
I remember singing Sgt. Rock over and over again to annoy my flatmate, circa 1979. Did much the same 25 years later with the X-sTatiC.
Your First XTC purchases.
English Settlement- on the recommendation of a review in the Guardian and endlessly playing Senses on the pub jukebox.
Your Favourite Band member
Dan Barrow or Sticksman 3
Tell us about where you live
Windsor, in the shadow of HRH, with 3 teenage kids, long suffering missus and my guitars. A beautiful place, complete with the river Thames, but no music venue.
What Do you do?
I commute every day into Regent's Park. My title is Head of eCommunications, which means that among other things I run the website for The Prince's Trust- the leading UK charity helping young people.
The first single you bought and the one you always say if the first!
Back off Boogaloo- Ringo Starr
The first Album you bought and the one you always say if the first! I think it was Bowie - Aladdin Sane, but it was closely followed or preceded by Slade Alive |

Thanks Weasie!
Hi, I'm Christopher, I'm 18 and I became addicted to XTC! I havn't quite listened to the whole catalogue yet, but I'm getting there. I also enjoy Thomas Dolby, Tears for Fears, Kraftwerk, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Bill Nelson...amongst others. I'm also a speech radio foamer, which has no consequence here really.
Nice to have finally found this place, thanks again to Weasie. _________________
