now you mention ball and chain.....i can hear a tiny bit of it there Laughing

save us from the clockwork train......

funnily though i get a feel of everyday story of smalltown while listening to it.......i can't wait to have a listen to it for real without the cool french kids nattering over the top of it!

I gotta find a copy of this song! I Love it except for all the kids talking over it

Its fantastic ---I can put it on a little disc with SPiral and say it and wonderfalls and a couple others for like the last xtc album that never was

terrific song almost a dukes vibe

WHere can we find it!

Actually, XTC is just the sort of band that should have a Lost Album, don't you think?

Give it twenty years and some reissue label will be putting a version together, although I dread to think what format they'll be releasing music on by then. Brain ether, or something, no doubt.

Isin't it driving you crazy!

Here somewhere in America I need that song!

one more thing-the little compilation idea of latter day non album songs like SPiral-Tin Toy CLockwork Train and Say it---etc ---is a good way to go compiling a little imaginary album

How else can you do it ?----I even put that Terry and the Lovemen track on there--but I'm thinking of making that a nonsuch bonus track instead more techically correct!

Is anybody out there! Can you hear me!

Tommy can you hear me! I'm looking for a Tin Toy Clockwork Train! Helloooooo

I'm torn between thinking it sounds like a Dukes track or a late period XTC track or what--Kind of hard to tell with French people speaking over the top of it with traffic and crowd noises!

When he did that Wonderfalls song it wasn't that hard to hear a clean version

What about all those records hasn't somebody posted something somewhere for people like you and me!

I've searched high and low for a dozen days since Per pointed the way, and have had no success. However I did have a bit of back and forth with Todd Bernhardt and asked him if he knew of any plans for an official release for us non-Eurostarers...
He asked Andy two days later during his 'Song of the Week' chat and here's his reply:
"Asked him about the Eurostar track, and it's basically theirs for the next 2-1/2 years, but ownership reverts to Andy after that, so he will certainly release it then, I think."
So, for the time being I say keep checking eBay - I'm sure one of those lucky buggers will realise they have a little goldmine in their possession and decide to part with it.

I knew that--that Todd guy told me the deal about the two and a half year Euro ownership of the track
same exact story

Hey man thats too long to wait! Whats the point of even having a song for your company if people talk over it!

there will be another answer

if nobody was supposed to hear it u wouldnt press up records of it would you ? that would be pretty stupid if you didint want people to hear it--seeing as how that is what a records purpose is to use it to play the song

something will turn up in the next week if I have to fly to France myself--I certainly hope that wont be necessary

Geeez.... I went to the Swindon Advertiser "Ask Andy" site and asked this question a few days ago! I should have just asked Todd B.!

Oh well - if you fly to France whobeatle, pick up a few extras will you? Smile

Tin Toy Clockwork Train
Driving All Around Your Brain
Take You There And Back Again
In A Tin Toy Clockwork Train,
Tin Toy Clockwork Train

The Driver Is A Toad Whose Eyes
Are Painted On His Cheeks
Pulling On A Whistle Made Of Candycane
Climb Aboard And We Can All Go Tripping
To A Place Where Everything Is Sublime
You´ll Arrive Before The Past Has Happened
Get You Back On Time

Tin Toy Clockwork Train
Driving All Around Your Brain
Take You There And Back Again
In A Tin Toy Clockwork Train,
Tin Toy Clockwork Train

The Guardsman Is A Chimp
Who´s Waving His Electric Flags
The Tickets Are Collected By A Wind Up Man
Climb Aboard And We All Can Go Tripping
To A Station At The Back Of Your Head
Signals Change And Now We´re All Unzipping
Next Stop Feather Bed

Come On, Hurry Up, Get On Board, Look Out, Hold On Top

Tin Toy Clockwork Train
Driving All Around Your Brain
Take You There And Back Again
In A Tin Toy Clockwork Train,
Tin Toy Clockwork Train

Tin Toy Clockwork Train
Driving All Around Your Brain
Take You There And Back Again

Does this mean you've nabbed a copy Per? Or do you have the ears of a Superman? I can only make out parts here and there amidst the chatter and carrying on...

After brief but intense therapy-I have relinquished my urgent need for Tin Toy Clockwork Train

and have decided to worry about the new ZOmbies album instead

Sorry Andy but I couldn't take the unresolved stress of waiting anymore

Divorce is so bittersweet

Hey is anybody going to the chunnel station in PARIS
is there room ? are you sure
