Speaking of Throbbing Gristle...

I was recently given a book to cost which features nude and semi-nude photography. I was looking through the proposal which included some of the photos (it is my job, you know ) and I came across a couple of photos of a man with breasts and piercings on his meat and 2 veg. I was looking at his face (really!) and he looked so familiar. It was Genesis P. Orridge! Shocked

I will refrain from further comment except to say that if he goes through with the full surgery ~ what a waste! Wink

The Dr Snuggles soundtrack which I've had since 1984! Amazing ELO-esque sounding stuff.

I want to replace it but I don't think it's available anywhere!

Also Punishment of Luxury (a priest gave this LP to me when i was small), then....Karel Svoboda's soundtrack for a weird Czech TV series in the early 80es - "The Visitors", a Californian band called Mellow Drunk who are pretty obscure (some of the greatest jangle pop ever written), and - even more obscure - their singer Leigh Gregory's solo work.

Anybody ever heard a really weird record called California '99, from 1971 by a guy called Jimmie Haskell? (People say he's known, but I know don't from wher). It's a sort of theme record about a future society. The cover is a folded out a map of USA, with among other strange things the Florida region turned into desert, and on the other side great surrealistic photos of people playing "Lecctroball" and a guy reading a feces meter on a toilet on which a guy is sitting... The album includes a version of "The night they drove old Dixie down", and all different kind of songs.
I got it from my brother in 1982, he had bought it for nothing at a sale in record shop. I listened to it a lot before.

"Snow Job" by Jack Frost. Silly band name, silly title. But make no mistake, it was 2 of Australia's best songwriters teaming up on one CD, The Go-Betweens' Grant McLennan and The Church's Steven Kilbey, mixed and produced by ambient deep trance master Simon Polinski AKA Hesius Dome.

Love Crimes - Harlequin

A little known Canadian rock group from the late 70's early 80's. My next door neighbour dated their keyboard player; a guy named Gary Golden.

Sorry I didn't post any album art Sad
