Anyone know this guy? I saw him at the recent Stainsby folk festival and I thought he was excellent. Great voice and guitar playing and strong songs too.

He is a real talent. He has written lots of songs for other people - most notably eddi reader and has released work under his name too.

He has collabrated with a lot of other song writers too..

very talented but unheard of in the mainstream

I met Boo once - very nice bloke.

He was in a band called 'The Bible', who were great, and had a FANTASTIC song called 'Honey Be Good'.

He just contributed the music to Chris Difford's lyrics on Difford's new CD. I don't know much more about him.

i'd say from the bible.......graceland,mahalia,honey be good and skywriting are wonderful songs for sure but when i saw them play newcastle many, many moons ago the real die hard fans seemed to go all
mental for kid galahad and the chrome kinema Confused

i've always had a soft spot for boo hewardine......bit like an english elliott smith without the self loathing and tortured artist stickers on the box

a man with a melodies to burn........the last solo album i bought of his was anon......thats got a couple of beauts on it to my ears......dream baby, a cloud no bigger than your hands and the mapping of the human heart are lovely little songs

funny though how some songwriters no matter how hard they try never better one of their covered songs and i think 'joke (i'm laughing)' and 'dear john' by eddi reader may just well be his finest moments although those bible tunes are well worth checking out!

well said PA.....a lovely man is Boo
