his singing voice isn't the greatest thats for sure but what a lyricist, easily up there with the most original of writers as for Marrs guitar and arrangment skills.....he's sublime and proven time and again he's a gifted musician
if there's one band that produces negativity from ageing rockers it's the smiths
even Andy threw a compliment at Morrissey for his compiling of the new york dolls anthology.......quite incredible that the new york dolls are responsible for influencing both the smiths and xtc
I think what you wrote about Morrissey's voice is true for me, Platty. I'm not a fan of his singing voice.
