(the you tube video I had here was removed for copyright reasons, since that will most likely happen again if I try to replace it, here's a picture of SHin instead.)

I want an avatar, but all my photos are too big - anyone know of any free software I can use to sort it?

another thing you can do sometimes, at least if it's a popular subject (such as Shin-Chan) is to use Google image's "Exactly" search function. This forum has an avatar size max of 100x100 pixels (although, yes, you can get around that if you stumble on the trick) and it's a popular size for avatars, so you can find the one you want and link to it.

Thanks to c-shell's link, I have acquired an avatar that I have wanted for ages. It's a picture by Mervyn Peake.

I'm BATMAN!

IIRC this was the same Batman costume I had for Halloween circa 1980. my parents have their own creepy picture of me in this outfit as well but it's in an album 400 miles away so a googled image will have to do.

I haven't had an avatar I've wanted to keep for awhile. I think I might just switch between Onion pictures for a bit.

Thank you Spastic, I finally got one up with help from the link you provided. It is a book cover I did for "The Dead." It is a volume not so much about the band, but the grand delusions of its author, Hank Harrison, father of Courtney Love.

Very cool, Miles.

I don't think I need to explain my avatar, or James Cameron's.

I live in Nottingham, and have not the faintest whiff of originality about me.
