She retired when she could have continued winning majority and minority governments for at least another decade.

First off, thanks to Mr Tein for the thorough answer. The statistics cited are shocking, to say the least. And yes, great answer Terra!
No, I have not yet received my H1N1 shot. For one thing, Canada is giving the shots based on a tier system, and I do not fall within the first tier (i.e. children, people with compromised autoimmune systems, etc.)
For another, I wonder just how much the media has blown the severity of this flu out of proportion. I had it quoted to me today that 300 people died as a result of this flu so far in Canada. The 'regular' flu claimed 30 000 lives in Canada this year. These statistics make me think twice about getting a shot at all.
Same question please ~ it's a good one, Terra (and worthy of a dedicated thread ~ hint hint). _________________ "Bolton fans know nothing about football. If you seek evidence of this fact just look at which team they choose to support!" |

30,000 flu deaths this year in Canada? That Would be more than 1% of the population lost to the flu.
Maybe you'll get that many cases this year.
CHICA says you had about 23,000 cases last year: Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! |

Just one thing, so far as I am aware: she changed the law so that married women could be taxed in their own right (rather than as a mere adjunct to their husbands). _________________ Jeezus, you dense Limey |

You should have written 'how do you post a youtube video only, without all the other videos and gubbins down the side and underneath, Spastic?'
My answer to your question is: haven't a clue.

No. I think that most (many) MPs enter Parliament with honourable intentions. The needs of party, the exigences of practical affairs, the clash between ideals and reality, the difficulty and complexity of the issues, and the attractions of self-interest gradually erode the purity of those intentions.
