Tonight's gig featured a very similar set list, but with Dear God replacing Towers of London, but sadly a delay at the start meant that they didn't get to do No Language. The band is fearsomely tight and I don't care if it's unfashionable, it is a joy to be in prog rock heaven. Unfortunately for Dave fans, he was in the darkest bit of the stage, so I'm not sure anything will show up on YouTube.
An unexpected pleasure was seeing X-sTatiC Ade for the firsttime in a couple of years, sans ponytail, but in very good form. |

Thanks for updating us Ed, and great to hear that you saw Adrian as well. One of my many favorite X-sTatiC memories was him calling out the colour lyrics to Mick during Albert Brown at Riff's.
"BROWN!"
"RED!"
p.s. prog is nothing to be ashamed of |

Hi guys, I'm back again.Been packing due to a house move so been difficult to post. I have converted and uploaded the Gig from the Victoria Swindon on 16th June. If you go to my usual You Tube page you can find all the clips. As already noted in the forum, Dave is not very visible on the stage due to a house stage light blowing just before the band took the stage. Have a look at Scissor man first as half way through there is a great medley of XTC songs. Also new tonight was Dear God and band were to play Language but ran over time.
Anyway hope you enjoy it all.
Here is link in case you cant find. They are all on my Fullblast1a account

Last minute news in case you did not know D G and his Tin Spirits boys are playing Swindon tomorrow 15th October at the Beehive in Swindon. It's a very small venue so if you are going get there early.

Hi,
The gig last week might have been the best one so far.
I've started uploading to various places.
I can't do it all at once so it'll appear gradually day by day.
I'll put photos that I think aren't too bad on my site. I onl yusually put really good stuff on there so, I'll try and put the others people might like to see somewhere else.
HD vids will probably go up on vimeo (i tihnk they handle HD stuff the best), as soon as their servers stop whining at the files I try and upload.
You'll find the standard def stuff (the majority for last weeks gig)
on my youtube channel Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! |
You can keep track of it all here:

Thanks Redwood and FireworkUK. I also think this was the best gig so far for sound quality. Funny shaped pub for gigs but a great atmosphere in there! |

thanks for sharing redwood1.
if anyone is interested in the difference between how youtube handles higher resolution video and another video sharing alternative called "vimeo",
have a look at the links here...

i uploaded the same file to both. if you watch the vimeo version fullscreen, you'll see its much better.
having said that, i had to reduce the quality massively to get them to upload. and the sound was nadgered in the orignal recording, so thats not the websites fault. sorry.
ill try and get the rest of the other songs they played up by the weekend...

I am thinking about it, but I have to get back to Victoria or London Bridge for the last train back to Brighton. _________________
