I had the occasion some years back to transcribe most of the bass and orchestral parts to "Sgt. Pepper" for my nephew's band, who were doing a Beatles tribute performance for Halloween. (He played bass and wore a Sgt Pepper uniform, I wore a suit and played the piano and George Martin orch parts on the keyboard.)

For an album that was lauded as the peak of rock innovation up to that time,
it's interesting that almost all of the songs are in 'swing' time - 6/8 -
as opposed to 'rock' time - 4/4.
Especially as it was the Beatles who overwhelmingly popularized straight 8th notes,
as opposed to the swung 8ths of Elvis and the early rockers.

It says a lot for the Beatles that even their lesser albums (except 'Yellow Submarine') had some superb songs on them,
like I'm A Loser, No Reply & I Don't Want To Spoil The Party on 'Beatles For Sale.'

I always liked Beatles 65 when I bought it as a 12 year old, not knowing the originals of the cover versions, of course. As Jeff pointed out, some very good Lennon songs.
