Close. You know "Holly Jolly Christmas", but do you recall...the most famous song from that show?

The version of Rudolph I learned only has three chords, thank goodness.

It is Rudolph!! If you hear the full song (at least the original) on the radio, you'll get the intro:

There's the little descending chord/scale thing, then it goes into the prologue

"You know Dasher and Prancer......
But do you recall, the most famous...."

It's that part!

And I didn't think Gene Autry knew that many chords.
I guess that's because it's before the guitar comes in.

Okay, Beatles 1965:

D _ D6 D
E/D _ E6/D E/D
G/D _ G6/D G/D
D _ D6 D

Way-hay - nice one!

Ok - I'm not giving you guys the year, but the intro chords are something like this:

E7Sus 4 and E(7?) for a bar each, all over an E bass/drone - this is repeated a few times afore the vocal comes in.

It's by XTC, it's very nice, and there's (arguably) an even better, and very playful version on Fuzzy Warbles.

Name that tune!
