Vee haff a vinna!

You da man, P.A.!

Ps. Did I get the key right?

Think you did, mate! Smile

So, how about this one from The Beatles:

D - F - G - A (1 bar/measure each)

Fucking great wee song, IMO! Smile

Or maybe it's 2 bars each, depending on the tempo, which is mid-to-fast, I'd say!

Isn't that "For Your Love" by the Yardbirds?

Probably, but that's not the one I was thinking of! Smile

This one is sung by Paul, with some brilliant backing vocals by John & George, and a wierd but brilliant gtr solo. (not backwards!)

So, the intro chords are:

D - F - G - A (2 bars each)

and the verse chords are:

D - C - G - A (1 bar each)

Bass, drums, gtr + electric piano.

Onlyest thing I can come up with is 2 8th notes per chord (kinda) between lyric lines of, "Please Please Me."

My inflamed ego is bruised. I should know the answer.

I've gone down the list of Beatle songs - twice! - and I'm still stumped.
I guess you got me.

Ok, now I'm worried I've got it in the wrang key or something - or just plain wrang!

The tune I was describing was...(a particular favourite of mine)

'The Night Before'

did I have it wrang, then, guys? Smile

In the interests of keeping the game moving, I will give up my next turn to Paranoid Android.

But I think I've found an interesting Beatles tune that may (or may not) prove to be a stumper:

C# augmented/E bass

Thanks for stepping in, Jeff - I'm low on inspiration/energy/motivation at the moment, mate!

Now, could that be the chord at the beginning of 'All I've Got To Do'?

If not, then what is that chord at the beginning of 'All I've Got To Do'?

I've always wanted to know this - 'specially since we'll never know how they did the 'Hard Day's Night' chord! Smile

Algernon.

Okay, it's PA's turn, but he's a little burnt out.
So let's open it up to you lurkers, and those who have yet to post here (or haven't for awhile.)

Go ahead - give it a shot!

Dmaj7 (2 bars)
Gmaj7 (2 bars)

Gm(6) (1 bar)
