| weasie wrote: | Blushift disabled it... | Let me just clarify this by saying I did not intend to suggest that Blushift targeted my avatar. I had noticed that all of the motion avatars had disappeared when I read the board a few days ago.
Also, I know that it was done to protect the board as a whole and I respect that. Please don't hate on Blushift, people! |

Disabled your Cheetah? That was by far the coolest avatar on the forum.
Blushift? Really?
My "set Myself on Fire" guy disappeared too, but it might be because it was from a pay site, and I neglected to pay. I guess they cycle through URLs every week or so to foil moochers like me...
I really liked the cheetah, though. | Thanks, AS. That makes, er, two of us that liked it, then! |

Like Spastic said, If you can still find them on your other site, try to right click and save them to your own pc, then try uploading them here. I was worried about the link going outside the board, but the gifs are probably ok. There could be limitations on what the board would allow, but it's worth a shot. |

My current avatar is from my freshman high school identification card, when I was 14. Yesterday's avatar was a photo taken last month. Too bad avatars don't stay with the posts you make when they are active! Then, you could have a whole batch of different ones! Oh, well.
Judging from chrestus' high school photograph from the other forum, we could be related. Especially since I was born in Fort Worth, TX. _________________ "Periwinkle blue." |

Mine is my 7 year old, Jamie, dressed for his school's Victorian week. It's either that or Norman Wisdom - my eyesight's not so good these days. |

I could've sworn that was you at the Forum Gathering in 2005. _________________ 'I went out to Charing Cross to see Major General Harrison hanged, drawn, and quartered; which was done there, he looking as cheerful as any man could in that condition.' - Samuel Pepys |

As an archivist I'm sad enough to have a brass paper clip as an avatar. The humble clip is one of the most useful tools my profession has, along with bleached tape, a 2B pencil, acid-free boxes, cotton gloves - no wait, come back, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz |

No balls here, but you will go forward in the XTC album history as you post more. With any luck, the old forum will return and no one will even make it to Black Sea.

I think that the lads had better release another album soon, or Truzzi's going to fall off the end. |

Jeff's got 20+ years of albums to go through yet. Not to worry. |

My avatar is le petit Spirou! A popular comics character well know in francophone countries.
Ok I'm a comics nut, so those not interested can pass, but for those interested :
First was created the comic strip of a young groom named Spirou, by the belgian cartoonist Robert Vellter, alias Rob-Vel, in the late 30's.

Spirou became a reporter, and an adventurer, always follow by his little squirell Spip.
Then the character was drawn by Jijé from 1943, who added a new character named Fantasio:
Then from 1946, drawn by the grrrreat André Franquin, who, over 22 years, made of Spirou a real comics Hero, with his best friend Fantasio, and add to the duo a strange beast found in the jungle of Palombia, known as the Marsupilami:

More information about this great comic strip on Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! |
Then 6 other authors had continued drawing albums of Spirou and Fantasio. But two of them, Tome and Janry, decided to create a new series, and imagine the adventures of a very young Spirou. Before he became the famous groom… A kid always ready to make jokes or play tricks to his teachers or to the parish priest, to watch girls in the gym showers, or obsessed by the mini-skirts of his maths teacher. A mix of impertinence and naivety. I love him!

OK, OK I stop here. _________________ Permanently at the sea… |
