Great interview. It's always nice to hear Dave's point of view! Razz

Dave is a top man, always comes across so well. Would be great to meet him, but I would not dare pick up a guitar in his presence.

Okay, does anybody think that Dana Carvey looks like Dave? I think Dana is a blond version of Dave. They have the same face!

Oh, I'm the only one that feels that way. I still think he does! Smile

BTW, thanks for the link Jeff, I need to rehear that one of these days.

i jumped up on stage at the end of the life begins at hop tour april79 at newcastle uni and asked Dave for his guitar picky in a 'had more than a few' goerdie accent......"Gizyerplek Deave man" he didn't have a clue what the fuck i was saying....put after a bit pointing at his hand and he duly handed over his guitar picky,,,,,,,great tour that.......you could defo hear a new xtc emerging

i do so would have loved him to have co-wrote some material....i could imagine him having a hundred great tunes but i can also imagine him being daunted by bringing up lyrics to andy........you do sense andy could have easily set lyrics to a dave melody though

one of the mysteries of xtc? the non cross polination of song writing?

I've had a bit of fan/band(AP) conversation at a gig at Liverpool Uni. But that's for another day. Funny how the same theme was carried on here some almost 30 years later.

Congratulations to Platnumheart for finding the other "censored" word. I knew it was only a matter of time before someone ran across it. I didn't think it would take two months and thought ColinEd would be the first to it.

Now, do the "clues" in the posts I left make sense, Keltik?

Yes, I know it's not a bad word. Just a bit of fun though.
I might have to think of a couple more... Smile

I was quite sad to see that Dave's web site, Guitargonauts, was taken down Crying or Very sad I had wanted to go back to check out the guitar section itself just for some clarification about a question I had but its a no show ....

Shame... as it was a treasure trove of great guitars, information and all things "Dave".... Cool

There's a message on Chalkhills saying something about it coming back...

Has me wondering, Idea and Ape cumbersomely separate, talk of updating those under a new website name... ya think Guitargonauts may be joining the "fraternity"?
