|
|
I was watching a weekly EPL footy show this morning and there was an interesting discussion that took place about who would be able to fill Sir Alex's shoes once he retires. There was a little introductory piece about Sir Alex's history. I had no idea that he had such a long history in the sport and that he is considered to be the one of the best EPL coaches of all time.
After the video clip there was a lively discussion about who could follow in his footsteps. Let's just say that 'the special one' was mentioned more than once!
So, what is your opinion? Who do you think could handle the job? _________________ "Bolton fans know nothing about football. If you seek evidence of this fact just look at which team they choose to support!" |

EPL = English Premier League
SPL = Scottish Premier League
I guess because I'm in Canada the leagues are known as EPL and SPL, whereas in England and Scotland it's just PL? _________________ "Bolton fans know nothing about football. If you seek evidence of this fact just look at which team they choose to support!" |

Sorry guys - I support real football. Thats league division 1.
However if there was a league of teams arranged by lack of debt we would be top and most of the EPL would be bottom. My team are one of the few professional clubs who have zero debt. _________________ Blonde pride |

Chances are that they may well do another Busby. Great manager whose shadow hung over the club and all subseaunt managers until fergie. And fergie only just survived!
It is either gonna be a big european manager or somebody like Steve Bruce. In fact a tenner of bruce would be a good bet! _________________ Blonde pride |

I'd bet on an ex-Man U player. I would suggest Roy Keane but he seems to have cocked up (again) at Ipswich. Bruce a distinct possibility, Hughes possible if he can get City's superstars firing. I quite like Steve Coppell but he's an underachiever.
Probably not Mourihno - how about Hiddink? Or a double header of Giggs and Scholes?? (Alright Scholes lacks the personality but Giggs not that far fetched). |

Steve Coppell for me but he has no chance. Martin O'neill want's it, hope he never gets it. The Special one want's it but he would turn it into a circus. Keep an eye on England, with success Fabio Capello would be a big contender. To be honest if he could win the world cup for England he would be a dead cert. |

Would Capello want it? He might be too old to start a big club job like that. Perhaps what's needed is another pugnacious Scot - step forward Gordon Strachan (or did he fall out with Fergie, in which case, no chance). |

Who is he (see signature below)? _________________ "Bolton fans know nothing about football. If you seek evidence of this fact just look at which team they choose to support!" |
