Bad result for the Jam Tarts last weekend, losing 2-1 to the evil St Mirren away!

Craig Dargo's superb strike gave St Mirren victory over Hearts - the Paisley side's first Scottish Premier League win at their new stadium.

A second-half equalizer from wing-wizard Andy Driver earned the Jambos a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Aberdeen against the sheep-shaggers! _________________ "Indicate precisely what you mean to say" |

Mayford Jaguars 2 Egham Town Youth 6
They only had six players (it's seven a side at this age) but went 2-0 up against our seven. Second half switched things around and got back to 2-2 so thought I'd do the sporting thing and drop to six. Cue mayhem. Played 5 won 1 lost 4. I blame the manager. |

Never claimed to be a football fan - football overall is a pile of pants. But I am a saints supporter. And I am very close to attending my 1000th saints match. _________________ Blonde pride |

Hey! Did somebody mention the Saints? Now y'all are talking about some football that MATTERS.
Is this a good time for me to wax rhapsodic about Drew Brees? |

I've been a fan of Drew Brees since his Purdue days. Although I'm an Illinois fan, I respect talented non-jerk opposing players such as Drew. Also, I have 3 nephews and a niece who are Purdue grads and love Brees.
Outside of the Bears, I'll root for the Saints to win it all. It wouldn't be a bad thing for America if there is a reason to party in New Orleans 9 days before Mardi Gras

Good man. Your head's screwed on straight, Brian, (we just won't bring up that whole Bears thing.) But I didn't realize till I read your post that the Super Bowl was so close to next year's date for Mardi Gras. So, I did some checking. I think you'll be as relieved as I was to find out that if the Saints go to the Super Bowl, there aren't be any night parades scheduled that Sunday to conflict with the game.
Whew! That was close!
Although if the Saints do go to the Super Bowl, there might not be any Mardi Gras at all because I think the entire town would just explode. There'd be nothing left to parade around. |
