A really rich chicken or lamb pasanda, a plain naan (pah! to your rice), tarka daal (lentils), sag aloo (spuds and spinach). Lager.
Burp! Fart!

In general I'd say it's a jalfrezi, probably chicken, definitely with rice.
From my current favourite takeaway vendor, it's a tava ghust lahori - the lamb is sooooo tender. _________________ Jeezus, you dense Limey |

No, I'm still getting the "1 tip of a flat belly" one. Could be connected. _________________ Jeezus, you dense Limey |

Home-made chicken or lamb madras with spinach and cauliflower added, coriander, brown rice + lime pickle. And a Cobra or 3. |

I am 100% with you Bimble on the pah to the rice; a great plain naan is right up my alley too. Try a plain naan the next time you have beef stew; it really goes well with that too. All the Suzi's enjoy it better than a nice piece of crusty bread or a bun with our stew.
My condolences to Missus Bimble..... when that happens Mr. Suzi gets a good swift elbow in the ribs from me _________________ Desperate times best forgotten ..... |

Tip for quick kids' meals, would-be-Jamie-Olivers; naans make good pizza bases. Tomato paste or passata, mozzarella and bits of whatever, throw it in the oven and hey it's lunch time. (PS doesn't work so well with peschwari naan) |

many times i have come in from an invigorating cycle ride and happily devoured a cicadashell specialty, "nutella on naan". it's faster than a pizza! |

So, next time I am in England, what would you recommend for a curry newbie? I've have some good and bad kebab, but think I'm ready for the other food topic that I have not yet tried over there. Keeping in mind that my stomach can't handle the most potent spices. _________________ "ignorance is bliss" - Jellyfish |
